What does a Partner Project involve
Organizations partner with ACCEL student teams to collaborate in order to solve real problems through project-driven work. We look to our outside community for companies to partner with who offer an authentic business project or challenge for ACCEL students to research, analyze and help solve. Student teams deliver customer research, videos, marketing campaigns and data analysis, to name a few. The average time commitment from our project partners is 12-15 hours over the course of 6-8 weeks.
What does a project look like?
ACCEL teams work with new companies at the start of each semester. The following outlines what you can expect when you sign up for a project:
Identify a problem or challenge.
ACCEL leadership works with you to align student outcome goals and expectations.
You are contacted by student teams to set up a kick-off meeting.
After the kick-off, your commitment is a mid-point and a final meeting where students will present their research and findings. Students have the opportunity to meet you on site or as needed. Lastly, project partners are expected to reply to student questions via email or phone calls as needed.
ACCEL students bring a combination of high level work and a unique perspective to your challenge. Some of our projects have led to immediate application of team suggestions and led to project growth based on findings. We have also been a resource to partners in research and survey findings that are part of bigger company projects.
